The loss leaves Kenya in a tight spot - trailing table toppers Uganda with two points, while leaving out a window open for Tanzania to level matters.
It was a tough Sunday morning for the Kenya Women's cricket national team as they fell to another tournament defeat, losing by six wickets to East African rivals Uganda at the Nairobi Gymkhana grounds.
The result meant that Kenya had now lost twice to the same opponent in the four-nation tournament - losing by eight wickets to the visitors on Tuesday morning albeit playing for 10 overs.
Uganda won the toss and elected to field, limiting the hosts to 107 runs and 4 wickets in 20 overs, a score that the Ugandan captain was comfortable with when she made her post-game remarks.

“The game worked according to our strategy," skipper Concy Aweko. “Once we won the toss and decided to field, our target was to prevent Kenya from making over 100 runs, they did but just. Their score was attainable because we only had to score five runs per over."
With a slight tweak to their opening lineup, Mary Mwangi came in for Mercy Ahono and it looked bright for them until the fall of the first wicket - when Monicah Ndhambi was run out inside six overs with the scores at 41 for 1.
The replacement, Daisy Njoroge's time at the crease was limited, falling to Aweko's spin ball in the eighth over. She had for eleven balls recorded four runs with the scores dwindling, thanks to good bowling from Uganda.
A closing partnership of Abuga and Sharon Juma yielded a 55 ball - 44 runs to set the score at 107; an average of 5.35 runs per over.
The second innings was a worrying sight for Kenya, as team struggled to contain a ferocious Prosscovia Alako who scored 38 runs off 31 balls faced, hitting four boundaries and multiple sixes. Her impressive performance won her the player of the match gong.

“It wasn't an easy game," Alako said. “Its just about us knowing what to do and working for it."
To further cement the brilliant showing from the Ugandan hitters, Stephani Nampiina went for a 17 ball - 30 runs also knocking two big sixes to go with a single four.
Her closing partner, Rita Musamali also had double digits runs, scoring 20 in 18 balls faced to seal the comfortable victory that saw them reach the run target in 16 overs with 22 balls to go.
“We dished out alot of dot balls while batting," Kenyan captain Sharon Juma said after the game. "We tried with our fielding. Our bowlers held the line well but of course there were a lot of loose balls."
Sharon Juma was thrown into the firing line, making her national team debut as the team captain but held faith that the team would bounce back to get back to winning ways.
The loss leaves Kenya in a tight spot - trailing table toppers Uganda with two points, while leaving out a window open for Tanzania to level matters on points.
Kenya are scheduled to play Tanzania on Monday in the last game of the group stage games while Uganda take on Qatar who play Tanzania in the late Sunday meeting.
